Exec: Gazprom’s sound profit in Jan–Mar forms basis for 2021 divs

MOSCOW, May 28 (PRIME) -- A sound net profit that Russian gas giant Gazprom had in January–March is a good basis for the 2021 dividends, the dividend base amounted to 391 billion rubles in the period, Deputy CEO Famil Sadygov said on Friday.

“The net profit amounted to 447 million rubles in January–March, which is three times more than in the entire 2020. It is a great basis for the 2021 dividends. The dividend base amounted to 391 billion rubles in January–March,” he said.

Sadygov also said that Gazprom reached the pre-crisis level of both operating and financial results in the period and expects the positive dynamics to persist.

Gazprom’s liquidity cushion increased by U.S. $6 billion to $20 billion in January–March, he also said.
